    • Develop computational frameworks integrating machine learning, digital twins, and multi-hazard analysis to quantify cascading risks and support adaptive decision-making for critical maritime infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with international academic and industry partners within a Horizon Europe MSCA consortium, contributing to research coordination, knowledge exchange, and evidence-based resilience strategies for future ports.

    • Work on human mobility behaviour modelling and counterfactual policy analysis, focusing on how epidemic control measures and policy phases influence daily activity–travel decisions. The research integrates deep learning and inverse reinforcement learning to disentangle stable individual preferences from policy-induced behavioural changes. A key emphasis is on developing policy-sensitive and interpretable models that support credible counterfactual simulations rather than purely predictive accuracy. This work contributes to data-driven evaluation of public health and transport interventions.

    • Focusing on pedestrian-autonomous vehicle interaction, data- and mechanism-driven traffic modeling and optimization.
  • Sep 2022 - Feb 2023: Senior AI Computer Vision/Image Processing Algorithm Engineer, Central Media Technology Institute, 2012 Lab, Huawei Technologies, Shenzhen, China
    • Engaged in research and applications in areas such as deep learning, computational photography, and low-level computer vision, with a focus on Tone Mapping technology research in the end-to-end HDR Vivid chain. The team proposed a Local Tone Mapping (LTM) algorithm based on minimalist neural networks, presenting richer colors and layers, improving contrast, enhancing image depth and details, and reducing power consumption by over 15%. The algorithm was highly recognized by the Vice President of the terminal product line, and was implemented in Huawei’s flagship products Mate50 and P60, supporting the selling point of HDR Vivid photography features. The products were rated first in their debut on the authoritative DXOMARK.
    • Honored with the Huawei Mate50 Flagship HDR Vivid Competitive Delivery Award, the Central Media Technology Institute Presidential Team Award - Technology Breakthrough and Contribution Award, and the Huawei Company 2022 Annual Award - Innovation and Technology Breakthrough Award: Audio and Video Dual Vivid Standard and Key Technology Competitive Team.
  • Nov 2021 - Sep 2022: Senior Research Engineer, Central Research Institute, 2012 Lab, Huawei Technologies, Shenzhen, China
    • Engaged in the simulation and optimization of intelligent transportation systems, as well as research and applications for traffic management and control based on big traffic data.
    • As one of the main contributors, proposed a method for accelerating traffic simulation parallel computing, which was recognized as a high-potential patent in the 2012 laboratory.
    • The team’s development of real-time traffic flow simulation and prediction technology was implemented in the IOT cloud control product line, contributing to the successful bid of the Jiangxi Liwen Expressway project by the Smart Highway Legion. The team was honored with the 2012 Laboratory Presidential Team Award.
